Singing bowls and other resonant metal vessels have historical connections with regions of Asia, although many of the specific wellness, chakra, and “ancient healing” claims commonly attached to modern singing bowls are more recent interpretations.

Today, singing bowls are used in a range of meditation, spiritual, yoga, Reiki, relaxation, and sound-based practices. Their tones may provide a focal point for listening and reflection.

This bowl is not tuned to a specific note. Any correspondence between musical notes, chakras, organs, emotions, or health outcomes varies among modern spiritual systems and has not been scientifically established as medical treatment.

Place the bowl on a stable surface or hold it securely in the palm of an open hand without gripping the sides.

Use the included wooden mallet to tap the outer wall gently. Depending on the bowl’s construction and response, you may also experiment with slowly guiding the mallet around the outside of the rim using light, even pressure.

Allow the sound to rise and gradually fade while noticing:

The beginning of the tone
Changes in resonance and vibration
Sensations within your body
Sounds within the surrounding space
The moment silence returns

The bowl may be used to begin or conclude meditation, Reiki, journaling, chakra-focused reflection, breath awareness, or another intentional practice.

Listening to the bowl’s tone as it begins, changes, and gradually fades may support auditory orientation, mindful transitions, present-moment awareness, and intentional pauses.

The sound can offer a structured point of attention during moments of overwhelm or disconnection. It may also become a familiar cue associated with settling into meditation, slowing the breath, noticing the surrounding environment, or returning attention to the body.

Sound affects each person differently. Begin gently, maintain a comfortable distance, and stop if the tone feels uncomfortable, startling, overstimulating, or disorienting.

Handle the bowl and mallet gently. Place the bowl on a stable, level surface before playing and keep it away from edges where it could fall.

Dust with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, wipe the bowl with a slightly damp, nonabrasive cloth and dry it promptly. Avoid soaking, dishwashers, abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, and prolonged moisture.

Do not strike the bowl forcefully, as this may damage the finish, distort the bowl, or produce an uncomfortably loud sound. Store the mallet beside the bowl without placing unnecessary pressure on its rim.

Minor surface changes may naturally develop with handling and use.

Each bowl may vary in color, tone, resonance, decorative detailing, finish, dimensions, and minor surface characteristics.

One bowl will be selected from red, green, blue, or yellow according to current availability. The specific color received may differ from the representative blue bowl shown.
